Editorial guidelines and methodology

This page explains where our data comes from, which texts are written with AI assistance and who reviews them. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.

Last updated: 10 October 2026

Who is responsible for the content

Texts signed “PrivJet Editorial” are the responsibility of the PrivJet team. We do not use invented authors or AI-generated headshots. You can find the company behind PrivJet in the imprint.

Where the data comes from

The figures on our pages come from our own datasets and from public sources. We calculate them ourselves and do not publish a number we cannot back up.

  • Empty legs: offers from operators and partner platforms, synced several times a day. Anything no source confirms any more is removed from the list. The operator always has the final word on price and availability.
  • Private jet tracker: positions from public ADS-B receiver networks. A jet is only linked to a person or company through public registers. That says nothing about who is on board.
  • Calculators: typical industry values per aircraft class for speed, range, fuel burn and hourly rates. Real quotes differ.
  • Airports: runways and frequencies from OurAirports, weather from aviationweather.gov (NOAA), NOTAMs from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). None of this is meant for flight planning.

Where we use AI

Some texts are written with AI assistance. We say which ones they are and review them against fixed rules.

  • Blog: a language model writes a draft from our route data. Since October 2026 the editorial team reviews every draft for facts, figures and tone before it is published. Reviewed articles carry a “reviewed on …” note.
  • Editorial sections on route, city and country pages: the AI may only use details that appear on the same page. An automatic check rejects any text with outside numbers, prices, dates, superlatives or other companies.
  • NOTAM explanations: the plain-language version of the abbreviations is generated automatically. The original text, shown next to it, is always authoritative.
  • Chat concierge: it answers automatically and can make mistakes. Flights and prices are only binding once the operator confirms them. A person takes over on request.
  • Videos: the narrator voice is synthetic. The figures in each video come from the same data as the website and are checked before rendering.

What we do not do

  • No invented reviews, testimonials or authors.
  • No photos in which the registration of an offered aircraft is readable. Empty leg images show the aircraft type.
  • No mass pages without content of their own: pages about routes, cities or aircraft only appear in search once there is enough real data behind them.
