An “Aircraft Holdings LLC” can belong to a global corporation just as well as to a single person — the registered name often does not reveal the beneficial owner. The table groups jets by the name in the registry.

In the US, owners often hold their aircraft through a dedicated company (LLC). It limits liability, simplifies sale and leasing and keeps the beneficial owner’s name out of the public registry.
How accurate is the classification?
We classify owners automatically from the name in the aircraft registry — for example “Trustee” for trusts or “LLC” for companies. Outdated registry entries, leasing or unusual names can lead to wrong assignments in individual cases.
