Charter jets live
Charter operators rent out their jets by the hour or by the trip to companies and private travellers. They fly a lot, often without passengers to their next job. These repositioning flights are sold cheaply as empty legs.
This page lists jets whose registered owner is a charter or management company. Many charter jets, however, belong to individuals or companies and are only marketed by the operator. They appear under “Companies” or on the operator page.

FAQ: Charter
How many private jets are in the “Charter” category?
Our tracker has recorded 190 jets whose registered owner falls into this category. Together they made 4,673 flights in the last 30 days.
Which owners in the “Charter” category fly the most?
By flights in the last 30 days, the leaders are: WHEELS UP PARTNERS LLC (1,902), KALITTA CHARTERS LLC (568) and INTERMOUNTAIN MEDICAL TRANSPORT LLC (421).
Which aircraft types are most common in the “Charter” category?
Most often recorded: Embraer Phenom 300 (26), Learjet 35 (22) and Pilatus PC-12 (15).
Can I book one of these charter jets for less?
When a charter jet flies without passengers to its next assignment, operators often offer the leg as an empty leg at a steep discount. PrivJet lists up-to-date empty legs from many operators.
How accurate is the classification?
We classify owners automatically from the name in the aircraft registry, for example “Trustee” for trusts or “LLC” for companies. Outdated registry entries, leasing or unusual names can lead to wrong assignments in individual cases.
Can I have an entry corrected or removed?
Yes. Use the form at privjet.net/en/private-jet-tracker/remove with the registration and your reason. We review removal requests and corrections promptly.
Fly the same jet type as an empty leg
Challenger, Citation or Gulfstream: when jets reposition without passengers, operators often sell the seats at a steep discount.
Data sources & notes
Data source: public ADS-B data
All positions come from publicly broadcast ADS-B signals that every aircraft transmits unencrypted and that volunteers around the world receive. Data may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate.
Linking an aircraft to a well-known person is based on public sources such as media reports and registry data. "Jet attributed to X" explicitly does not mean that this person is on board or ordered the flight. Aircraft are also chartered, sold or used by others.
All information is provided without warranty; no liability is accepted for accuracy or completeness. CO₂ figures are estimates based on typical fuel burn for the aircraft class.
Using this data to harass, track or stalk people is prohibited.
